Brenda Jasper
I’m Brenda Jasper and I have been at ACS for over eight years, where I teach junior high science, technology classes, and I am the sponsor of the ACS Amateur Radio Club.
I am originally from Brownsville, Texas, but have lived in Brazoria County for the past 30+ years. Shortly after graduating from Texas Tech University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, God had other plans for me. I returned to college to study education and began teaching in 1989.
I have been an educator for close to 35 years. Eleven of those years I taught 5th and 6th grade in Brazoria, where I was teacher of the year in 1994. In 2000, I made the move to Stephen F. Austin STEM Academy in Jones Creek, where my son was entering kindergarten. There, I taught 4th, 5th and 6th grade during my 16 years there. Teaching junior high students was a new experience, but I am so happy God gave me this opportunity!
I have one child, Evan, who recently graduated from Texas A&M. Whoop! I enjoy gardening, woodworking, traveling, ham radio, and trying out new Mexican food dishes. I am a member and attend Columbia Methodist Church in West Columbia.
I love teaching at ACS where the students, parents, and staff are like a family. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to teach your child. I look forward to another fantastic year!
2nd Thessalonians 3:16
Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
