Donna Minshew

This is my eighth year at ACS. During my time here I have finished and received my Alternative Texas Teacher Certification. In fact I renewed my certification for another five years. I have taught math from the beginning of my time at ACS. I have been surprised to see how much I
had remembered from my own time in Jr. and Sr. high. That is saying a lot being I started my professional teaching career at the age of 58. I have also taught Art, Bible and Health.

I graduated from University of Houston , Clear Lake in December of 2008. I had gone back to finish my degree when my two sons started college after homeschooling them for 15 years. I LOVE learning and hope to inspire that love in my students.

Church has always been a big part of my life. I was born again at the age of six. My youth group and being a part of its leadership were very significant to me. After graduating high school in 1976, I attended Sam Houston University for two years. Later going to Word of Faith Bible
College in Dallas for two years. After returning home, I met my husband Tim, at church, and this year we will celebrate our 40th anniversary. We have three children and five grandchildren. I see myself not only as a teacher of academics, but also as a person who is able to speak truth to my students. I know that I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to teach at Angleton Christian School. I am able to share my faith and love for my Lord here. I can share what the Word has to say about life and encourage my students to make right choices. I hope to teach
several more years and be a significant part of this wonderful school.
