Suzy Ford

My name is Suzy Ford. I was raised in Angleton and graduated from Angleton High School in 1993. I come from a family of teachers/coaches, both my Dad and Mom worked for AISD. I have been married to my husband, David Ford, for 15 years. We have 2 adult children from previous relationships, Derrik Ford and Blayne Svoboda. Together we have 2 sons that attend ACS, Koi Ford and Korbyn Ford.

ACS has been my home away from home for the last 8 years. I have had my hand in multiple areas in those 8 years. I started as a secretary, then moved to teaching PK4, and for the last four years I have had the ultimate pleasure of having the best job in the world… PE TEACHER!!
Other than teaching, I have been the Head Varsity Volleyball Coach for the last four years. I also assist with Junior High Track. I have also coached girls’ basketball and softball in my years here at the school.

Last year I was given the chance to teach a Yearbook class in High School. This was a challenge I accepted, and I really enjoyed the outcome.

In my free time I am either at one of my kids’ sporting events or training volleyball with my husband. We love to spend time with our family and take advantage of our lazy days. Our family has attended Family Life Church in Lake Jackson for the past 7 years.

My favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” God sent me this verse when my Dad passed away in 2016. It gave me peace and comfort to know that God is there for you to lean on, and to trust in Him that one day I will see my Dad again.
