Cyndy Greganti
Hello! My name is Cindy Greganti and I teach 4th and 5th grade Bible classes. It has been an incredible joy and challenge to teach the Bible classes. It has been humbling as God teaches me while teaching my students. I love Bible study and it has been so fulfilling to share that love with our growing and learning students.
I was born and raised mostly in California, but moved around quite a bit as a kid - even living in Venezuela for two years. I married my husband, David Greganti, in 1987 after we graduated from Louisiana Tech. We settled in the New Orleans area with Union Carbide and I began teaching. We moved around with our two kids, Kyle (32) and Kelli (29) - living in Canada for five years - and landed in Angleton with Dow Chemical Company. Our kids both graduated from Angleton High School and Texas State University. Our son is now a teacher in Angleton at Angleton Junior High. He teaches 8th grade history. Our daughter is married to my son’s best friend from Canada (Brian) and is a radiation therapist in Spring.
I started teaching all-inclusive 4th grade classes in the New Orleans area right out of college. I quit after seven years to be an at-home mom and was able to be home with my kids for 13 years. What a blessing! I started teaching again at Angleton Middle School for several years and retired after six years at the Angleton alternative school - CATS.
My family loves to travel. We try at least once a year to go on a trip together. My husband and I collect pinball machines and love to use pinball conventions as an excuse to travel to new (or not so new) places. We have two dogs, Murphy a golden retriever and Astra a terrier mutt. We also have five cats: Maya, Bella, Harley-Quinn, Norman and Norma-Louise. We love to play games and often have a BBQ night and play games. We are also movie people and love a good movie/movie night!
I think everyone at the school knows about my love and joy for Stitch from the movie Lilo and Stitch. His character, created to destroy and bring destruction, is loved by Lilo, unconditionally, until he begins to change and finds joy in family and friendship. I love this and hope that my love for others will be so evident. “Ohana means family and family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.”
