Nina Vrazel

My family moved back to Angleton when I was 13. I enjoyed being part of the Junior Mounted Posse and helping with our cows. I graduated from Angleton High School in 1972. Throughout the years I’ve worked for a lawyer, glass company, architect and adoption agency. My favorite job of all was driving a tractor bailing hay with my husband.

Joe and I had two sons born with special needs and we were blessed to adopt three more children (two daughters and one more son).

I decided to go back to college in 1995 and received my degree from the University of Houston Clear Lake in elementary mathematics and reading self contained grades 1st-8th. My plan was to start and end my teaching career at Danbury where I taught 4th-6th grade math and 6th grade science and social studies. I did end up retiring from there! One thing I am proud of is starting the Lego Robotics program there.

Fast forward to 2022 when I applied to be a sub at ACS which turned into a full time job in November of that year! It has been a true blessing that I did not realize I needed at the time. God works in mysterious ways! I’ve been a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church for over 50 years. I have worked with our youth (CYO), been a eucharistic minister and have been on several committees.

In my free time I enjoy baking kolaches, cinnamon rolls, noodles, homemade bread and making jelly! I also enjoy quilting and sewing.
