Karen Morin
I was born in Richmond, Virginia and then moved to Louisiana at the age of 5. Eventually, my family and I found our way to Texas and never left! I graduated from Brazosport High School in 1977. I have lived in the Angleton area for the past 38 years. I have had a few different jobs in my life, but teaching preschoolers has always been my favorite! There is nothing more rewarding than watching children learn new things each day. I taught at Holy Comforter for 6 years before changing career paths to work in a photography studio. After 15 years, I really started missing the joy of being in the classroom.
I am married to my amazing husband, Russell. I have 3 grown children: Shannon, Tiffany (and her husband, Ross) and Brent (and his wife, Ashley). I have 4 grandchildren: Brayden (16), Macyn (8), Micah (5) and Marli (4). One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my family, especially when it involves cheering on my grandkids in whatever sport or activity they may be participating in. I will always be one their biggest cheerleaders!
When I am not with my family, I love to read, watch Hallmark movies, or relax outside in my hammock. Some of my other favorite things include the color purple, anything chocolate, Diet Coke, Mexican food, and playing board games.
I am so blessed to be joining the ACS family. For me, each and every one of the children placed in my path are blessings sent from God. I am excited to meet them and help them grow! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for us this year!
My favorite scripture is:
Philippians 4:13, which says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
